Job summary

Yona is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our team. You will maintain and restore hard-surface and carpet areas, operate floor care equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have prior floor care experience, knowledge of floor maintenance techniques, and the ability to follow safety procedures. This role requires regular lifting and working varied shifts to meet care needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in floor care or related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work varied times and shifts.
• Independent worker with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Operates floor care equipment for cleaning large areas.
• Follows carpet maintenance procedures including shampooing, extractions and spot cleaning.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Adheres to safety precautions when handling cleaning solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
