Job summary

The Floor Care Technician will perform floor maintenance on hard surfaces and carpet, including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction and bonneting at client sites. You will follow safety guidelines and report issues promptly.

We value reliability, flexibility, and teamwork as you operate floor care machines and coordinate with other maintenance staff to keep facilities clean and ready for customers. Must be able to lift 45 pounds and work early shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Some cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and use common sense.
• Respectful communication with coworkers, customers and staff.
• Ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handles hard floor care, including mopping, scrubbing, and buffing on hard surfaces.
• Maintains carpet: vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extraction.
• Performs other cleaning tasks such as dusting and restroom cleaning.
• Operates floor care machines safely and follows manufacturer instructions.
• Reports time worked and any equipment issues to supervisor.
• Adheres to safety requirements and participates in ongoing training.
