Job summary

Yona seeks a Floor Care Technician in Saint Paul, MN to maintain clean, safe floors for residents and staff. You will operate floor care equipment, perform stripping, refinishing, burnishing, and carpet care as needed, following safety procedures.

Candidates with prior floor care experience and knowledge of equipment are preferred. Must lift up to 50 lbs, work varying shifts, and pass a background check. Yona offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night.
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large areas of floor surface.
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use.
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor
