Job summary

SSC Services For Education — Floor Technician position in Kernersville, NC — involves floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of industrial floor care equipment. The role covers hard-surface and carpet care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, shampooing, and vacuuming.

Shifts include full-time and part-time with hours in the late afternoon and evening. Minimum one to two years of floor care experience is preferred, with a wage between $16.50 and $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures is required.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper stripping and refinishing procedures.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
