Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Floor Technician to perform scheduled floor care tasks in our facility, including cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and maintaining floors and carpets under supervision. The role requires careful use of floor-care equipment and chemicals, with adherence to safety and care policies.

You will report repairs, participate in weekly in-services, and help ensure patient/resident safety while supporting a clean, compliant environment. Competitive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Experience in Floor Care.
• Experience in institutional housekeeping is helpful.
• Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all floor surfaces.
• Buffs and waxes floors, strips and waxes floors, top scrubs and waxes floors.
• Extracts and vacuums carpets as directed by Supervisor.
• Utilizes proper chemicals and equipment.
• Reports repair needs to Supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
• Attends weekly in-services, understands, and complies with Patient Care Management Systems.
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
