Yona Solutions in Minnesota is seeking a Floor Care Technician to join our hospitality-focused team. You will maintain hard-surface floors, perform carpet care, operate floor care equipment, and ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions to keep resident environments clean and welcoming.

The ideal candidate has prior floor-care experience, knowledge of floor-care equipment, and the ability to work varied shifts, including nights.

Qualifications

• Experience as a floor care technician or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Must follow safety procedures due to physical risks.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work varied times of day/night and be punctual.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper stripping, refinishing, and burnishing procedures.
• Operates floor care equipment for large areas.
• Performs carpet care including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Conducts maintenance/restoration for all floor types.
• Disinfects floor care equipment after use.
• Adheres to safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping, refinishing and burnishing
• Utilizes equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Follows proper procedures on carpet including shampooing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc
• Operates floor care equipment as assigned
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Disinfects floor care equipment after each use
• Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to be at work on time and at varying times of day/night
• Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance
• Must provide a criminal background check
