Job summary

Marsden South is hiring a Floor Care Technician in Orange, TX. You will clean floors and carpet, operate floor finishing equipment, and follow safety rules to maintain facilities for our clients.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm–12:00 am, totaling 40 hours weekly, with an hourly rate of $16. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must have work authorization.
• Must be willing to pass multiple safety tests.
• Must have an active driver’s license.
• Must pass multiple safety tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and prepare areas to be cleaned, scrubbed, buffed, stripped, refinished, waxed, or sealed; carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Operate and maintain floor cleaning/finishing equipment including floor buffers, burnishes, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.
• Spot clean carpets as needed; extract liquids and treat areas appropriately.
• Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

As you might expect, cleaning is at the heart of what your job will entail. For the most part, you’ll be:

• Perform proper techniques of scheduled floor care and preparation of areas to be cleaned, scrubbed, buffed, stripped, refinished, waxed, or sealed as well as carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and chemicals.


• Operate and maintain all floor cleaning/finishing equipment including but not limited to floor buffers/burnishes, water extraction machines, and carpet cleaning equipment.


• Spot cleaning of carpets as needed.


• Extraction of liquids from carpet and treat areas appropriately.


• Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
