Job summary

Eastcastle Place is looking for a dependable Floor Care Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across our senior living and nursing facility. The role emphasizes attention to detail and the ability to work independently around residents and staff.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, full-time, non-exempt, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with company matching, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior floor care or custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to operate floor care equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other materials
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and shampooing carpets
• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively
• Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols
• Use cleaning chemicals properly and in accordance with safety guidelines
• Identify floor damage or safety concerns and report them promptly
• Maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner
• Work respectfully and professionally around residents, families, and care staff

You will be responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of flooring throughout our community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, can work independently, and takes pride in keeping spaces looking their best.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment
