Job summary

Eastcastle Place in Milwaukee is seeking a Floor Care Technician to keep flooring clean, safe, and welcoming across our senior living and nursing facility. You will perform tasks like cleaning, waxing, buffing, and carpet shampooing, while following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior floor care or custodial experience is preferred, and training is provided for specialized equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, or custodial experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is a plus (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other materials.
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and shampooing carpets.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly and in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Identify floor damage or safety concerns and report them promptly.
• Maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
• Work respectfully and professionally around residents, families, and care staff.
