Job summary

The Floor Care Technician at Sizemore, Inc. in Waukesha, WI will be responsible for hard floor and carpet maintenance, including mopping, scrubbing, waxing, shampooing, bonneting, and extraction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Some cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate respectfully with coworkers, customers and store personnel.
• Able to manage time effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours.

Responsibilities

• Handle hard floor care including routine mopping, scrubbing, and buffing.
• Maintain carpet including vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting.
• Provide other cleaning services such as dusting and restroom cleaning.
• Operate floor care machines safely and according to manufacturers’ instructions.
• Follow safety requirements at all times.
• Report time worked through the phone timekeeping system and arrive on time.
• Interact respectfully with customers and personnel.
• Ensure equipment is in working order and request supplies as needed.
• Assist with other duties periodically, including floor stripping.
• Support a culture of safety, reliability and teamwork.
