Job summary

Sizemore Group in Hammond, IN is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain floors across commercial sites, including hard surface care and carpet maintenance. You will operate floor care equipment, perform stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, and extraction while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow simple instructions.
• Excellent communication with coworkers and store personnel.

Responsibilities

• Handle hard floor care, including mopping, scrubbing, and buffing on hard surfaces.
• Provide carpet maintenance such as vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets.
• Perform general cleaning duties (dusting, restroom cleaning, etc.).
• Safely operate floor care machines and chemicals per instructions.
• Follow all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
• Report time worked accurately and on time via phone system.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, and inform supervisor of issues.
• Support leadership and fellow technicians; cultivate continuous improvement.
