Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Floor Care Tech in Hinesville, GA. This full-time role focuses on floor maintenance of hard surfaces and carpets across offices, training rooms, lobbies, and public areas.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and prior custodial floor care experience. The worker will handle chemical mixing, operate floor machines, and ensure equipment cleanliness and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial with floor care preferred.
• Able to identify and handle chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Handles floor care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface.
• Provides floor maintenance; including vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting and extracting carpets and stairwells.
• Mixes chemicals needed to perform duties.
• Insure that all equipment is kept clean, and report any malfunctions or safety hazards to the Supervisor.
• Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis.
• Provides other cleaning services; such as, dusting, restroom, office, and classroom cleaning.
• Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
• Continually support the agency safety program and contribute to customer and employee safety.
• Accomplishes organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, & bonneting) areas that include offices, training rooms, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas.
