Job summary

Baysiderehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to maintain hygienic resident areas by cleaning carpeted and hardwood floors and performing routine cleaning of rooms, hallways, and common spaces. The role involves scrubbing, polishing, and waxing floors, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies, with emphasis on safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred (healthcare or hospitality setting a plus).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning carpeted and hardwood flooring
• Scrubbing polishing and waxing floors of all types
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility hallways to maintain a hygienic, presentable, and comfortable environment
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces according to cleaning schedules and protocols
• Replenish supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning products in designated areas
• Dispose of trash and soiled linens appropriately and according to infection control procedures
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate department
• Duties as assigned
