Job description

You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a pleasant and healthy environment for our residents and employees. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining floors, grounds, facilities, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations to ensure a successful maintenance program.

Scheduling options:

• 8-hour shifts
• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Full-time position

Daily responsibilities include:

• Maintaining the appearance of all floors (hard floors and carpet)
• Using machines and hand tools for maintenance tasks
• Performing routine cleaning such as trash removal, mopping, stripping, buffing floors, window cleaning, dusting, furniture polishing, and setup

Qualifications:

• Previous floor care experience and knowledge of cleaning and maintaining hard floor surfaces (VCT, ceramic tile, marble, terrazzo), including stripping, waxing, and buffing
• At least 1 year of janitorial experience; 2-5 years in a long-term care facility preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with carpet maintenance and cleaning equipment is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, and lifting (at least 35 lbs.)
• Ability to work well with others and follow supervisor instructions
