The Floorcare Maintenance Technician role within Real Estate Operations is responsible for floor maintenance, upholstery cleaning, and providing temporary coverage for routine office cleaning and janitorial services within our Retail and back-office facilities.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of sites, performing duties such as stripping and waxing floors, carpet cleaning, and deep cleaning various floor types. Work orders are issued for each location to be completed twice yearly.

Primary Responsibilities

• Floor maintenance and cleaning of various flooring types (VCT, ceramic tile, carpet, wood, LVT, vinyl sheet, rubber tile, etc.)
• Using floor machines and extractors to clean and sanitize floors and upholstery (chairs, cubicle walls, fabric materials)
• Traveling to facilities within a designated route/radius
• Maintaining floors and upholstery in assigned facilities
• Performing general cleaning tasks and special projects, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, ceiling vent cleaning, restroom cleaning, etc.
• Closing work orders via Computerized Maintenance Management System using cellphone, iPad, or computer
• Communicating professionally with colleagues and customers
• Maintaining inventory of supplies, tools, and materials
• Responsible for vehicle and electronics maintenance

Required Skills/Experience

• Experience in floor cleaning roles
• Ability to perform cleaning and special projects as needed
• Customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• English proficiency (reading and writing)
• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs
• Work efficiently under pressure
• Plan and prioritize workload

Education and Certifications

• Valid Driver’s License required

Hours & Work Schedule
Hours per week: 40

• Some overtime possible during evenings and weekends

Work Schedule: 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday
