Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Mesquite, TX is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping and Maintenance Associate to perform day-to-day tasks in our facility. You will manage floor care, cleaning, and basic maintenance to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

You will follow supervisor directions, rotate duties across housekeeping, light maintenance, and equipment care, and help maintain inventory and supplies while observing federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows work assignments and schedules to wash, seal, wax and buff floors.
• Performs maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning vents and dryers, and tidying areas; clears debris and maintains exterior spaces.
• Cleans, disinfects fixtures, floors, walls, doors and ceilings; polishes and rearranges furnishings as needed.
• Cleans offices, restrooms, activity rooms, kitchens, service entrances, lounges, halls, and other areas as per cleaning schedule; performs emergency housekeeping.
• Maintains supplies, inventories stock, uses cleaning equipment, and ensures proper storage and disposal of waste.
• Coordinates with residents, nurses, physicians, and department leaders on environmental services requests and infection prevention.
