Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain floors in a clean, sanitary state and support routine housekeeping tasks across the department.

The role involves operating floor care equipment, handling linens and supplies, and performing special projects while adhering to safety and HIPAA guidelines. Training and departmental policies guide daily activities and customer service for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with operating floor care equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals and safety practices preferred.
• Ability to follow infection control policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform major floor cleaning including stripping, refinishing, shower scrubbing, shampoo, extract and burnishing.
• Operate and maintain automatic floor machines and related equipment; clean and service after use.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies, PPE usage, hand washing, and waste handling.
• Assist with linen removal, trash pickup, stocking supplies, and confidential containers disposal.
• Undertake special projects like changing curtains, washing windows, moving furniture, and organizing storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of supplies, equipment, and environmental closets.
• Demonstrate professionalism and comply with leadership instructions and attendance policies.
