Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a housekeeping professional to complete standardized cleaning across patient rooms, offices, and hospital areas, ensuring efficient daily operations. You will also assist with discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, and exterior cleaning while refilling dispensers and managing receptacles.

The role requires following safety standards, performing occasional project work, and contributing to patient satisfaction initiatives within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• FIT testing may be required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Completes the standardized cleaning process in patient rooms, offices, departments, and other ancillary areas utilizing the appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the various departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning.
• Cleaning of assigned building exteriors and refilling of dispensers in required areas; collects all receptacles.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal; assists with hospital emergency cleanup.
• Acts on Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment and machinery and clearly marks hazardous areas.
