Job summary

Mohave County Flood Control Division is seeking an Engineering Technician to perform hydrology analyses, site and subdivision reviews, and floodplain compliance tasks. The role supports engineers, prepares elevation certificates, and coordinates with state and federal agencies for permitting and reporting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED and floodplain management experience or relevant training. Travel to outlying county locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with algebra/geometry knowledge.
• 1+ year floodplain management experience or related training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct calculations, hydrology analyses, and permit reviews for floodplain compliance.
• Inspect sites and determine floodplain elevations.
• Prepare floodplain reports, elevation certificates, and exhibits.
• Coordinate with state and federal agencies on permitting.
• Assist with FEMA submittals and grant-related documents.
