Job summary

Donaldson in Frankfort, IN is seeking a Floating Ultra Web Operator to assemble filtration products on a 3rd shift, on-site schedule from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. This role emphasizes teamwork, quality checks, and safety compliance, including DOT/HAZMAT policies.

The successful candidate will operate media processing equipment, perform setup and first-piece tasks, maintain accurate records, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Exhibit mechanical aptitude.
• Equipment such as gages, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures.
• Ability to use computer and understand basic math principles.
• Lift up to 35 pounds from floor to waist; 60 inches at 35 pounds; carry 10 feet; lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• HS diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of trade school or relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and understand the operations and machines involved with the media process.
• Produce media within quality/quantity standards per prints or route sheets.
• Perform quality checks and tests as assigned.
• Follow setup sheets and monitor production rates.
• Complete paperwork: scrap reports, media usage/testing sheets, oil runs.
• Perform machine changeovers and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Comply with DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
• Use designated PPE as required.
• Other duties as assigned to support Donaldson’s mission.

The Floating Ultra Web Operator role at our Frankfort, IN location involves working collaboratively to assemble filtration products in an innovative, team-oriented environment. This is a 3rd shift on-site position, with hours from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Role Responsibilities :

• Recognize and understand the operations and machines involved with the media process
• Produce media within acceptable quality and quantity standards as stated in the prints and/or route sheets
• Perform quality checks and tests as assigned
• Follow first piece and set-up sheets, Monitoring production rates
• Complete all applicable paperwork - scrap report, media usage sheet, media testing sheet, oil runs, etc.
• Performs machine change over
• Perform preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Comply with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Use all designated Personal Protective Equipment as required

Minimum Qualifications :

• Exhibit mechanical aptitude
• Equipment such as gages, calipers, indicators, scales, and tape measures
• Ability to use computer and understand basic math principles
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from a squat level lift from the floor to the waist, a shoulder level lift to 60 inches at 35 pounds, a horizontal lift and carry for 10 feet, lift up to 50 pounds with the assistance of another employee
• A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience

Hourly Rate: $27.44

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
