Job summary

Planters Bank & Trust Company seeks a Teller to operate a teller window, provide prompt, efficient and accurate customer service, and maintain security of a cash drawer.

Responsibilities include cross-selling bank products, referring customers to staff, handling deposits and withdrawals, and ensuring compliance with bank policies. The role may require travel to multiple nearby offices and collaborates with teammates to meet service goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Basic Accounting knowledge is required.
• 6 months of cash handling and balancing money transactions within prior four years.
• Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and employees.
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Check.
• Equipment: computer software, Ten-Key calculator, photocopier, telephone, fax machine.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality involving all transactions.
• Promote and maintain positive relations with customers and prospects.
• Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
• Contribute to department and company objectives and goals.
• Operate a teller window to serve bank customers with deposits, checks, receipts, and other services.
• Balance cash daily and manage cash securely.
