Job summary

Columbia Bank in Spokane Valley, WA is hiring a Teller - Float to serve as the first point of contact for clients. You will perform teller transactions, handle cash, and help ensure accurate and ethical banking in compliance with bank procedures.

The role requires occasional travel to cover branches, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with clients while supporting branch goals. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Balance cash drawer and process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, etc.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interacts with external and internal clients, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions.
• Continuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank's product and service offerings and stays current on changes.
• Discuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Supports referral goals for branch by focusing and identifying and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
