Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank seeks a Floating Teller/Customer Service Representative in Lubbock to process a variety of financial transactions and assist customers with accounts. The role mainly operates at the Main Bank location but may float to other Lubbock branches as needed.

You will handle cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, account openings, and debit card issuance while delivering outstanding service and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum one year retail customer service or banking experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with basic calculator skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
• Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service including prompt acknowledgment, friendly disposition, and accurate processing of transactions.
• Processes a variety of transactions: cashing checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and change orders.
• Responds to routine inquiries about bank products and services in person, by phone, or by mail.
• Offers notary service.
• Performs branch opening/closing duties per security standards.
• Balances daily cash drawer and ATM; assists with vault, TCD, and TCR balancing.
• Handles mail, night-drop, and ATM deposits; scans and uploads documents.
• Opens new accounts and cross-sells bank products; explains options and guides client to appropriate product.
• Inputs customer information and required documentation to open accounts; ensures signatures.
• Performs maintenance on accounts and handles address changes, stop payments, e-statements, and closures.
• Performs miscellaneous duties such as filing, phones, and supplies.
• Other duties as required.
