Job summary

Global Partners LP seeks a Floating Store Manager to learn the operations of a convenience store while assisting multiple locations. You will train under Store Managers, supervise staff, and oversee inventory, pricing and cash handling. Travel is required to support various locations and drive fast-track advancement.

Qualifications

• ServSafe or other approved Food Safety Certification within 90 days of employment or promotion.
• Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
• Ability to count, read and write accurately to complete required paperwork.
• Perform additional merchandise price surveys.
• Assist in covering manager vacancies in other store locations.
• Hire, train and develop an Assistant Manager capable of running store in your absence.
• Attend all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a quality buying experience for all customers.
• Perform competitive gas price surveys daily or as required.
• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by noon to accounting office.
• Make daily bank deposits by noon.
• Account for ATM and Lottery funds daily, and make deposits.
• Keep accurate fuel inventory records (red book).
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, develop, discipline staff using appropriate documentation.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Order and receive merchandise utilizing inventory guidelines.
• Coordinate gasoline deliveries and ensure adequate fuel levels.
• Maintain compliance binder and report issues to management.
• Implement company promotional initiatives.
• Aim to keep inventory variances to 1% of sales or less.
• Manage cash over/shorts within $100 per month.
• Audit cashier paperwork for accuracy.
• Maintain image standards and conduct image surveys.
• Report maintenance issues and unusual occurrences to management.
• Maintain price book and security cameras where applicable.
