Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic leader to reflect the company’s ethos around people, processes, operations, and brand advocacy. This leader will be responsible for personal and store sales, leading a team, managing operations, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and implementing strategies to achieve revenue goals. This role is crucial in ensuring the store's success and contributing to overall company growth, upholding the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.

Total Compensation Range: $60,000 - $95,000 per year (inclusive of base, commission, and bonus)

Key Responsibilities:

  • People: Provide guidance, training, and support to sales teams; lead and supervise the employee lifecycle; enhance employee engagement; communicate effectively.
  • Process: Achieve or surpass store and annual benchmarks; evaluate team performance; model and teach sales and design processes; maintain store profitability.
  • Brand Advocacy: Model and teach product knowledge; champion brand strategy and customer experience; ensure merchandising and store standards.
  • Operations: Utilize store visit forms; conduct regular meetings; ensure system and procedural compliance; collaborate for operational excellence; plan sales promotions and events.

Scope & Impact: Influences store financial health, team morale, operational efficiency, and customer reputation. Manages store revenue up to $5 million and leads up to 15 direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years in a retail sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, financial acumen, interpersonal and analytical skills, team management, and customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience managing retail sales teams.
  • Understanding of profit and loss, strong business acumen, and effective relationship-building skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Up to 15 direct reports.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for long periods; frequent hand motions; ability to sit, walk, bend, and stoop.
  • Work inside environmental conditions; pass background and drug screening.

At La-Z-Boy, we prioritize clear communication and reward talent. Our pay practices include:

  • Total Compensation Range: $60,000 - $95,000/year (including base, commission, bonus)
  • Base Pay: $60,000/year
  • Commission & Bonus: Uncapped commissions on sales with monthly bonus opportunities.

Weekly hours: 40
