Job summary

Dominium is seeking a Roving Senior Community Manager to oversee properties in a floating capacity across the Minneapolis area. You will supervise operations, leasing, maintenance, and resident relations to ensure compliant, financially sound performance.

This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of tax credit programs (Section 42/Section 8), travel flexibility across properties, and collaboration with regional leadership to drive occupancy and service quality.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in multifamily property management.
• Tax credit and affordable housing experience (Section 42, Section 8) strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, including training and mentoring staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to travel frequently and adapt quickly to different properties’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations at a property in floating capacity, ensuring leasing, maintenance, and resident relations when no permanent manager.
• Leads small specialty projects within the portfolio to improve operations, resident satisfaction, or compliance.
• Ensures compliance with housing programs (Section 42, Section 8) and local laws.
• Supervises site personnel as assigned.
• Establishes schedules and assigns necessary personnel for proper management.
• Implements rent collection and budget adherence, following financial procedures.
• Provides property performance updates to Regional Manager and VP of Property Management.
• Works with residents to establish good communication and resolve issues fairly.
• Processes applicant files for screening per program requirements.
• Stays current with housing laws and regulations.
• Supports leasing efforts and collaborates with marketing teams.
• Provides on-site staff training as needed.
