Job summary

Rehab Associates of Central Virginia Inc in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (Resource) to float to different clinics as needed. You will implement physical therapy programs and follow recovery plans, delivering treatments while seeing patients as individuals.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant or the ability to obtain it in Virginia.
• Previous outpatient setting experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exercise, sports rehab, and manual-based skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy programs and activities according to recovery plans.
• Provide patient care per established protocols with timely documentation.
• Administer active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Administer traction to relieve neck and back pain.
• Instruct and assist patients in learning and improving functional activities.
• Observe patients during treatments and report progress to the PT and Clinical Director.
• Fit and train patients in use of braces, prostheses, and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with PT staff and health team to plan and adjust treatment programs.
• Measure and document range of motion, strength, and vitals for patient evaluations.
