Job summary

Mindlance is seeking a Phlebotomist for a float role across eight NY locations, including Utica, New Hartford, Rome, Barneveld, and Ilion. The position runs Mon-Fri 5:45am–6:00pm with rotating Saturdays (early shifts) and typically 30–40 draws daily, training at a single site before floating to others.

Home base is the main branch at 28 Campion Rd, New Hartford, NY; 2 weeks of initial training are common, with longer training if needed. EEO statement applies.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen labeling; document maintenance data and decontaminate equipment as required.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Package, label and transport specimens; ensure correct test requisitions and temperatures for transport.
