Job summary

Ameris Bank seeks a customer-focused Teller/Personal Banker for floating across banking centers in the retail area. You will build high-value relationships by opening accounts, cross-selling products, and delivering exceptional service to each client.

Your role combines teller responsibilities with personal banking duties, including financial profiles, product knowledge, and achieving branch sales and service goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service experience required.
• Cash handling or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the financial growth of the banking center through establishing, expanding, and retaining high-value consumer and business client relationships.
• Proactively communicate with current and prospective clients to educate, resolve issues, and solicit feedback to improve bank performance.
• Apply need-based sales techniques and conduct customer financial profiles to attract and retain client relationships.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
• Balance cash, perform teller functions, and handle complex transactions.
