Job summary

AMR is seeking a Float Paramedic to deliver advanced medical care across multiple locations as part of a full-time team. You will assess scenes, operate defibrillators and monitoring equipment, manage IV therapy, and communicate clearly with patients and families to ensure understanding of the care provided.

You will also assume Paramedic team leadership when needed, drive EMS operations to 911 calls, and collaborate with public safety and healthcare colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Paramedic certifications for KS and MO.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS and ACLS required at hire.
• PALS preferred but not required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess calls and determine best action per Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize paramedic equipment including defibrillator, monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide care information.
• Lead Paramedic team and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
