Job summary

AMR is seeking Float Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high‑quality patient care and to support emergency medical services across multiple US locations. You will join a team that values clinical excellence and teamwork while adapting to diverse assignments and patient needs.

As a full-time position, you will lead on-scene coordination, operate advanced medical equipment, and drive ambulances during 911 responses, collaborating with public safety and healthcare colleagues to ensure optimal

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Paramedic certification valid for Kansas and Missouri.
  • State Driver’s License is required.
  • BLS and ACLS required upon hire; PALS preferred.
  • Driving record compliant with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Agility Test.
  • Some healthcare work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action following Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize paramedic skills on medical equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) to provide advanced care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Paramedic certification (KS & MO)
State Driver’s License
BLS and ACLS certification
PALS preferred
