Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of formal Medical Assistant training program.
• 1 year MA experience preferred; EMR experience preferred.
• RMA or CMA certification preferred.
• BLS preferred.
• Current driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaint, allergies, meds and prior data.
• Measure and record vital signs (weight, BP, pulse, temp).
• Communicate with patients as directed by the physician or provider.
• Provide written prescriptions for patients and document as directed.
• Review, retrieve and upload reports/lab results into EMR before appointments.
• Triage messages, verify requests, and coordinate with the provider.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel follow-ups in the EMR.
• Perform injections and Point of Care tests as directed.
• Ensure logs and clinic checks are completed; assist with onboarding/training.
• Travel between clinics and provide float coverage as needed.
