Job summary

Aurora Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. The role involves patient interaction, documentation, and coordination with providers, nurses, and teammates across ambulatory settings.

The position may float among clinics within AMG, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health, with schedule variety from 7:00am to 6:30pm and eligibility for a float pool

Qualifications

• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 45 days if required by department lead.
• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable MA experience within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
