Job summary

Mountain Park Health Center in Phoenix is seeking a floating Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care across multiple facilities. The MA will perform clinical and administrative duties, collect specimens, and support immunization and medication administration per CLIA guidelines.

The role requires completion of a MA program, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel between locations.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to travel to multiple facilities as required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a medical assistant program.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of the MA Preceptor program or Champion User requirements as needed for assignment.
• Preferred: EHR experience and bilingual capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs and completes clinical and non-clinical duties in front and back office.
• Adheres to procedures for immunization and medication administration.
• Performs CLIA testing, collects specimens, and documents results in the EHR.
• Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides discharge instructions.
• Coordinates continuity of patient care with internal health departments.
• Maintains supplies and prepares exam rooms for patient care and procedures.
• Identifies and reports safety hazards to supervisory staff.
• Interviews patients to obtain visit reasons, history, and chief complaints; performs vitals.
• Records all patient interactions accurately in charts.
• Travels to multiple locations as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.
