Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is expanding its team in Eastern North Carolina and seeks energetic Floating Medical Assistants to support clinics in Erwin and Cameron. You will assist on-site providers with patient intake, triage, and care coordination across urgent and primary care services.

The role requires flexibility in scheduling, with a guaranteed 30+ hours per week and opportunities to work across multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior medical assisting experience is beneficial, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers with patient intake, assessment, and discharge.
• Triage patients promptly per clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs and updates to medical history.
• Perform lab tests per clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support EHR transitions.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Assist during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for X-rays as directed.
