Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care is looking for an energetic Floating Medical Assistant in North Central Alabama. This role involves supporting providers, managing patient care, and overseeing medical records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a high school diploma. The position ensures 30+ work hours weekly with a starting pay of $15/hour plus benefits including health insurance and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients to assure optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and any updates to the patient’s medical history.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records and support the transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory when needed.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience working in Microsoft Office suite

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
