Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is expanding in Eastern North Carolina and is seeking energetic Floating Medical Assistants to work across Greenville, Goldsboro, and Smithfield. You will support providers, perform triage, document vitals, and help manage patient flow.

As a Medical Assistant you will handle labs, electronic records, room preparation, and assist during examinations and procedures. Schedule guarantees 30+ hours weekly with flexibility; compensation starts at $15/hr with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in patient care and ensure efficient workflow.
• Triage patients promptly according to clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and medical history updates.
• Perform lab tests per guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and aid transition from paper records.
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Assist during patient examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for X-rays as directed.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory.
