Job summary

UDR, Inc. is seeking a Floating Service Technician to join our team in Danvers, MA, supporting North Shore communities. The role involves on-site maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs in residential buildings.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of building maintenance experience, with EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred. Schedule typically 8:30am-5:30am or 9am-6pm with some Sundays, and on-call responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in building and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• HVAC knowledge is a plus and carpentry skills are beneficial.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service by repairing and restoring service to standard.
• Maintain the community appearance by keeping grounds, exteriors/interiors, and common areas clean and safe, reporting safety issues.
• Ensure apartments are ready for occupancy by performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and cleaning tasks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace; keep inventory stocked.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
