Job summary

UDR, Inc. and its affiliated companies are seeking a Floating Service Technician to join our team in the North Shore, based out of Bradlee Danvers in Danvers, MA.

Ideal schedule is 8:30am–5:30pm or 9:00am–6:00pm with occasional half-days on Sundays. The role involves responding to resident maintenance requests, performing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs to ensure apartments are move-in ready.

Qualifications

• Two years of building and mechanical maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting and drywall.
• Technical or vocational certificate and/or degree preferred.
• HVAC and carpentry knowledge a plus.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and rotating on-call responsibility required.
• Pool operation certification (CPO) may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident maintenance requests and repair/restore service within quality and time standards.
• Maintain community appearance and cleanliness; report deficiencies and safety issues.
• Ensure apartments are move-in ready with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair and cleaning.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace; assist with stocking inventory.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
