Job summary

St. Ann School in Chicago seeks a caring Part-Time Elementary School Aide to provide academic and behavioral support to elementary students. The aide will serve as a "floating" staff member, assisting teachers and helping students engage in classroom instruction.

The schedule is 8:00am–12:00pm, Monday–Friday during the school year. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with children; confidentiality and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with elementary-aged children in educational or childcare settings.
• Ability to work with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group academic support to students.
• Assist students in initiating, organizing, and completing tasks.
• Reinforce teacher-led instruction and accommodations from support plans.
• Monitor progress and provide encouragement and redirection.
• Float between classrooms and collaborate with teachers on strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
