Job summary

Orange East Supervisory Union Valley Cooperative Preschool – Bradford, Vermont is seeking a flexible Floating Educator to join our team. The role involves working across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, providing classroom coverage, supporting teachers, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment for children.

Schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM–4:00 PM. Ideal candidates have experience with young children, 3 college credits in ECE, willingness to pursue

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children is required.
• Minimum of 3 college credits in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or willingness to enroll in college coursework.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work with children from infancy through preschool age.
• Reliable, dependable, and flexible.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must meet all required background check and childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed.
• Cover staff breaks, lunches, absences, and other classroom staffing needs.
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and daily activities.
• Assist teachers with classroom routines, transitions, meals, toileting, and diapering as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of the center.
• Follow center policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
• Be willing to adapt quickly to changing classroom needs and schedules.

Floating Educator – Immediate Opening

VCP Children’s Center is seeking a flexible, experienced Floating Educator to join our team. This position will work across our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms, providing classroom coverage, supporting teachers, and helping maintain a safe, engaging environment for children.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM
