Job summary

Community Access Unlimited, Inc. is seeking a position to participate in developing and coordinating training programs for members, enhancing quality of life, and promoting independence.

The role provides direct supervision and training to members using normalization principles. The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma with college-level coursework in psychology or human services and has experience with adults with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required. Two years of college in psychology, special education, or human services preferred.
  • Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains program standards of operation and development.
  • Ensures members’ health, safety and welfare, including appropriate medication administration.
  • Ensures compliance with SAP policies and procedures in regard to member and program funds.
  • Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions.
  • Ensures compliance with the annual Individual Habilitation Plan process for members.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High School diploma required with minimum two years of college in psychology, special education, or human services field preferred. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

JOB TASK
  1. Maintains program standards of operation and development.
  2. Ensures members’ health, safety and welfare, including appropriate medication administration.
  3. Ensures compliance with SAP policies and procedures in regard to member and program funds.
  4. Maintains appropriate staff/member interactions.
  5. Ensures compliance with the annual Individual Habilitation Plan process for members.
  6. Ensures compliance with the Agency’s Periodic Service Review and other quality assurance programs.
  7. Ensures compliance with CAU Policies and Procedures, SAP Policies and Procedures, and licensing requirements.
  8. Provides appropriate direct supports to members.
  1. Cooperates with Agency, legal authorities and Department of Human Services or any part or successor thereof in any inspection or investigation.
  2. Maintains Carelogic expectations.
  1. Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
  2. All other duties as assigned.

SHIFT

9am-5pm Monday-Friday with some variation
