Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) for our Float Pool in Phoenix. The role supports multiple outpatient clinics with clinical and administrative responsibilities, traveling locally as needed.

A flexible, patient-centered approach is essential for high-quality care across locations. The ideal candidate will hold CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) credentials, BLS, and at least 1 year of pediatric healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) credential.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA in lieu.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare or pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, measurements and basic diagnostics.
• Document patient information in the EHR and communicate with the care team.
• Conduct diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and assist with examinations.
• Handle administrative duties: prescriptions, refills, prior authorizations and messages.
