Job summary

Discovery Point seeks a Floater to support multiple classroom teachers by following an approved curriculum, promoting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment.

You will help prepare classrooms, assist with meals, supervise children, and collaborate with center staff to ensure respectful, developmentally appropriate activities. Strong communication and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of Early childhood education curriculum; EDU119 preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification training.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; EDU119 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist multiple teachers in classrooms following approved curriculum.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.
• Prepare classroom for daily activities; assist in cleanup.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Supervise children; engage in activities with positivity and respect.
• Report injuries or incidents to Center management.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as requested.
• Work in other classrooms as staffing needs require.
