Job summary

Discovery Isle Preschool is seeking a creative and passionate full-time Preschool Floater Teacher to join our team of dedicated educators. This role involves working across infant through pre-k classrooms to ensure continuity of care when teachers are absent.

You will support routines, foster independence through hands-on learning, and collaborate with teams to follow established lesson plans, while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for families and children.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or GED and one of: 12 Core ECE Units (CA) or a CDA in preschool.
• Minimum of 6 months teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Nurturing, patient, flexible personality with a love for babies.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction and routines for multiple age groups (Infant-School Age).
• Encourage independence and collaborative play-based learning.
• Assist with instructional activities, supervision, meals, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom aligned with school expectations.
• Collaborate with teaching teams and follow lesson plans/schedules.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Model professionalism, flexibility, and willingness to jump in where needed.
