The Learning Lamp in Johnstown, PA is seeking a full-time Early Learning - Floating Program Director to support our child care and preschool programs.

You will help center directors and teachers with daily operations and lesson planning, while contributing to licensing and quality initiatives. This role offers growth through training, apprenticeships, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO and childcare discounts.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related human service field.
• Previous experience with children, including volunteering or non-childcare settings, is acceptable.
• Willingness to complete required clearances and training (four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, TB test).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods during the eight-hour day.

We are looking for a full-time Early Learning- Floating Program Director to support our child care and preschool programs.

• Our centers are open 6 AM - 6 PM. Full-time employees work 40 hours per week.

What are the duties and responsibilities?

• Support center directors and preschool teachers in daily operations and lesson planning

What are the required qualifications?

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related human service field.

Previous experience with children, and this does not have to be in a childcare center! Have you volunteered with children before? Are you a former or retired teacher? All of these are examples of some of the many ways our staff have experience with children.

Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. The children grow!

Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
