Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a hands-on Retail Manager for hospital cafés and retail dining operations in the Orlando area. Lead a cafe team, deliver quality food and guest experiences, and bring fresh ideas to promotions and merchandising.

This role requires 1–3 years of management in hospitality, strong leadership, and comfort with cash operations, scheduling, and budgets. Travel across the Florida region may be required; healthcare experience not required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading restaurant, café, hotel dining, or retail foodservice operations.
• Hospitality mindset with ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Experience with cash operations, labor planning, budgets and food cost controls.
• P&L accountability or contract foodservice experience is a plus.

Must be based in the Orlando area and available to travel to support accounts throughout the Florida region as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Lead daily café and retail dining operations, delivering quality food, welcoming service, and appealing presentation.
• Hire, train, and coach team members to create a positive, guest-focused culture.
• Keep operations running smoothly through staffing, scheduling, payroll, and cash controls.
• Drive customer satisfaction through hands‑on leadership and attention to detail.
• Bring fresh ideas to promotions, merchandising, catering, and special events.
• Manage costs, monitor financial performance, and complete operational reports on time.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, portioning, and cash‑handling standards.
• Build strong relationships with guests, clients, and account teams.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Experience leading restaurant, café, hotel dining, or retail foodservice operations; one to three years of management experience preferred.
• A hospitality mindset and the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
• Experience with cash operations, labor planning, budgets, and food cost controls.
• An eye for food quality, presentation, and retail marketing.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in foodservice management or a related field, or an associate degree with three years of related experience, preferred.
• P&L accountability and contract foodservice experience are a plus.
