Magical Beginnings in Grafton, MA is seeking a Floating Assistant Teacher to support multiple classrooms and maintain high-quality care. This role offers schedule flexibility within a 7:00 AM–5:00 PM window and requires energizing, child-centered support across age groups.

Qualifications

• Certification or equivalent experience preferred, not required.
• Daycare experience in center-based or private settings preferred.
• Engaging and energetic demeanor with young children.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Ability to spend extended time on the floor with children.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand most of the day.
• Attentiveness, time management, and team focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute coverage for teachers when needed.
• Assist opening/closing routines, cleaning, and classroom prep.
• Support teachers with lesson materials and student engagement.
• Follow daily classroom schedule and maintain cleanliness.
• Encourage age-appropriate interactive activities.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and maintain PQ registry.
• Create a fun, safe learning environment and build relationships.
