Job summary

A Child's Place of McHenry is seeking a Floater Teacher/Van Driver to support Infants through PreK and to drive the School Age van. Must be 23+ with a valid driver's license, and able to pass background checks.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and childcare experience is a plus. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm, with compensation between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour based on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom activities in line with the center's philosophy.
• Implement activities supporting emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and improve the program as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all children.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and move around small children.

A Child's Place of McHenry is a licensed childcare center seeking Floater Teacher/Van Driver to support the following age groups:

Infants-PreK

Our floater teacher will also drive the School Age van. Must be 23+ years old with a valid driver's license.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
