Job summary

The Goddard School in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Floater Teacher to join our early childhood team. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom alongside lead teachers and support children’s social and emotional growth.

You’ll collaborate with staff across age groups, stepping into different classrooms as needed to support daily routines and special activities. Training and development opportunities are available to help you grow.

Qualifications

• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Empathy, patience, and strong teamwork skills.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to different classroom environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely handle children as needed for classroom care and safety.
• For Infant and Young Toddler classrooms: must be able to properly lift and place infants into and out of cribs.
